Nippon Value Investors KK was founded in December 2005 in Tokyo, Japan, to specialize in value-oriented Japanese equity investment management.
Our three key portfolio managers, who are also the founding partners, have been working together since 1999 in managing value-oriented Japanese equity investments. The investment team consists of seasoned and highly qualified investment professionals with years of experience in Japanese equity investment. The team uses a disciplined value philosophy and a bottom-up approach.
We are an independent investment management firm owned and controlled by our employees, with Silchester Partners Limited, which holds equity interest in the British investment adviser Silchester International Investors LLP, as a passive minority shareholder. We believe that autonomy and internal ownership allow for consistency of purpose and the alignment of interests with those of our clients.
